Things to do in Gainesville, FL - Hike in San Felasco State Park
Updated: May 24, 2021
Looking for a shady trail in Gainesville, FL?
Check out San Felasco State Park in NW Gainesville. I've lived in Gainesville for 19 years and visited it for the first time this past weekend (hard to believe it took me so long to get there, but will be a regular visitor from now on).
Did I mention it has lots of shade?! Perfect for a hot summertime hike.

Be on the lookout for Gopher Turtles- they like to hide in their half-moon shaped holes and they are quick (for a turtle).
